Upscale

Increase resolution with Topaz, from a straightforward sharpen to fully generative detail.

Choosing a model

Standard V2 is the general-purpose default. High Fidelity V2 preserves the most detail; CGI suits renders and synthetic imagery; Recovery restores heavily degraded images. Redefine, Wonder, and Wonder 3 are generative, meaning they invent plausible new detail rather than just sharpening what's there, with more creative latitude the further up that list you go.

Scale and finishing controls

Scale factor goes up to 4x (larger factors aren't supported). For the non-generative models, you can also crop to fill, choose an output format, control subject detection, and turn on face enhancement with its own creativity and strength sliders, plus sharpen, denoise, and compression-fix toggles.

For the generative models, you instead get creativity and texture sliders, an optional prompt to guide the result, and (on Wonder 3) an enhancement strength setting.

Pick generative only when you want new detail invented

If the source image is already sharp and you just need it bigger, a non-generative model keeps the result faithful to the original. Reach for Redefine, Wonder, or Wonder 3 when the source is soft or low-resolution and you want Misu to fill in plausible detail.
