Canvas

A node-based board for directing work at scale: brand sources, prompts, models and finishing tools wired into a graph you can rerun, fan out and compare.

What Canvas is for

Canvas is where a repeatable pipeline lives. Wire a product, a talent and your Brand DNA into a prompt, send it to one or several models, finish the result and compare the options, then run it again with a new list of products. Every change autosaves and a snapshot is taken before every run, so nothing is lost.

Nodes

Brand sources bring your own material onto the board: Product (images plus a trained identity lock), Talent (Character Lock as a wire), Brand DNA (guidelines, things to avoid, palette) and Look (every image on one of your boards). Identity is resolved on our side every run, so a board can never point at a stale model.

Prompt is free text with variable handles — write {Product} and wire a text into it. Direction is the structured alternative: subject, environment, lighting, lens, mood, grade. It compiles differently for every model it feeds, so one Direction gives Flux prose and Veo its component list. Concatenate, Enhance and Describe shape prompts; List turns lines or a CSV column into a batch.

Generators — Image, Video, Voice, Sound Effect, Music — each wrap a model you pick in the inspector. Edit tools — Upscale, Remove Background, Background Swap, Inpaint, Style Transfer — are fixed tools with a known cost. Router, Compare, Note and groups (⌘G) keep a large board legible.

Wiring

Ports are typed and colour-coded; hover any port for its name. Drag from a port onto empty canvas to add a node that fits, drop one node onto another to auto-connect, or press Tab to search — including “from image to video” style filters. A list wired into a single-value port is drawn dashed: that node runs once per item.

Running and cost

Select a node to see its settings and a live token quote in the inspector; the quote is exactly what a run charges. Run selected re-runs one node (Runs ×N stacks variants into its history strip); the toolbar button runs the whole board, in parallel where the graph allows, and turns into Stop — stopping refunds anything still queued. Tasks in the header lists your runs; Assets collects everything the board produced, with the prompt and settings behind each result.

The Director builds with you

The Director panel understands the board. Ask for “a product hero flow” or “a video after this image” and it proposes the nodes and wires as a list of changes you review, apply in one step and undo in one step.

Templates and versions

A fresh board offers Start-from templates — Product hero, Talent look, Batch by SKU, Multi-model compare, Image → Video and more — and the workflow menu can create a new board from any of them. Versions live in the inspector when nothing is selected: save one by hand, restore any earlier state, and rely on the automatic snapshot before each run.

When to reach for Canvas

Use Canvas when the same sequence should run repeatedly with small variations, or when you want to compare models and directions side by side before committing. For a single image or clip, Generate or Video Studio is faster.
